JOY LUTHERAN CHURCH FOUNDATION

The Fristad Foundation was established in 1980 to enable Fristad Lutheran Church to better fulfill and expand its Christian Mission and to create a place where members could contribute gifts that keep on giving…forever. The name was recently changed to The Joy Lutheran Church Foundation with our congregation’s name change in 2020. The Foundation was set up to operate independently of the church fothe benefit of the church. Gifts received by the Foundation are never spent, only invested. The interest and investment gain are the only dollars available for use.

The Foundation accepts all types of gifts- from cash, securities, life insurance, bequests and real estate. Annual earnings are used for needs outside the regular church budget such as special ministry opportunities and capital improvements. Please keep the Joy Lutheran Church Foundation in mind when doing your estate planning. All requests for funds must come through the Church Council for their review to ensure the request is in line with church goals and priorities. The Foundation has distributed over $110,000 for various projects since its inception.

Joy Lutheran Church Foundation has supported: 

- building relationships and community by assisting with transportation for Looney Lutherans show, For King & Country concert, and the youth mission trip to Michigan in 2022

- encouraging faith and showing love by contributing to congregation support for the intern and her education 

- serving congregation and community with a building that is welcoming and comfortable through purchase of a new storage shed to organize exterior maintenance supplies
